Digamadulla is a historical place in Sri Lanka.It was prince Deegayu a brother of Baddakachchayana,the chief king Panduwasdev,who started the colony of Digamadulla.The district has a colorful history.

 

 

 

 

 



So far the history of Uthuru wewgampaththuwa is analyzed, Buddangala,Piyangala,Rajagala,Punchi seegiriya,Samangala,Udayagiriya,Weeragoda areas are found to be a source of many valuable historic information.

Presently the Wewgampaththuwa was divided in to three divisional secretariat namely Uhana,Ampara,Damana.Uhana divisional secretariat has 55 Grama Niladhari divisions and the population density which is 56865.

Since this division was started, wanted to provide best services for the public in Uthuru Wewgampaththuwa very efficiently.Rajagala20180907
